The story begins in Chamonix¡¯s Boldering room. I was looking for a climbing 

partner. I already knew Gung-Yeal, but we never climbed together.

So I asked him, he answered with a big smile: ¡°Ok, tomorrow at 8h00 in front 

of the Aiguille du Midi, world¡¯s highest tram... ¡°Excellent!¡± I was finally 

going to climb again, I just recovered from a serious knee injury...

We are in December 2002, the conditions in altitude are uncertain and very 

cold!

For our first climb together, we decided to start with something gentle: 

l¡¯Arret des Cosmiques (II, AD, 4a, 200m). It ¡®s a fast access route and a 

very beautiful climb.
